A contract is executed with
Arkas Company in April 2008 about container handling. By means of this contract,
as first stage Emes and Tarros Lines operating under this company began to coast
Akport Port.the annual container handling capacity of Akport is 250.000 TEU.
As the Container Terminal began to serve, service was provided to Turkon, ZIM
and CMA Container lines and port provided fast and safe service to these lines
operationally.
Container terminal area of our port is approximately 90.000 m2.
Available machinery and equipment used for container handling are:
- 3 mobile cranes for 100 tons
- 1 mobile crane for 90 tons
- 4 Reach Stackers
- 7 Terminal tractors |
